Hello Advisors, and welcome back to school! The State Office team has been working through the summer, and we have some big updates for you today!
New Registration System
First, we’re excited to announce that the new registration system is ready! This new system should make things much simpler for everyone in Washington FBLA. You can submit competitive event files through the system, complete forms for things like Statements of Assurance, and even use the hotel module to you can check available inventory, reserve rooms, and submit rooming lists. This should eliminate a lot of extra steps and different systems, and we hope it’ll both save you time and make life easier for you.
I’ll start sending out logins today, and everyone should have logins by the end of the week. If you don’t have a login by lunch on Friday, email me!
Your login instructions will include basic information to help you get started so you can add students and register them for FLCs. We’ll have training at most of the Fall Conferences for you, so you can learn how to use the file, form, and hotel features in person, instead of having to read a document or watch a video.
Middle Level Events
After discussion with Middle Level Advisors and the Regional Advisors, we’re excited to announce that we’re trying out a group of Middle Level Events at SBLC this year! The six events we’re holding are:
All of these events are straight-to-state, and are for members in grades 5-8 who are registered as part of a Middle Level Chapter. Students who place in the top two (2) are eligible to compete at NLC. As always, you may register ML students in the high school events, but they will not be able to compete at NLC in any of those events.
Event details for the Middle Level events are online at
Finally, the website has been moved to a new platform (Weebly) and received a substantial upgrade. We’re working on completing the competitive events information this week, and all of them should be fleshed out on the events page by the end of the day Friday. Each advisor email blast will also be posted on the website under Advisors/Advisor Blasts. Huge thanks to Jaxson for all his work on the site migration and the new look and feel!
Thanks for all that you do, and here’s to an amazing year in WAFBLA!
