Greetings Advisers and Happy Wednesday!
The Board of Directors, Regional Advisers, and State Officers met on Saturday, and we are all excited for SBLC coming up!
Today: Membership Dues! Today is the absolute deadline for membership. All dues must be on record as paid in full in the national center at 5 p.m. Eastern Time today for your members to be eligible for national competition. Please take note that there will be absolutely no exceptions this year. You are encouraged to login to the national system and verify that your chapter has it’s dues paid in full. National FBLA does not consider a purchase order to be paid – if you have unpaid members, we encourage you to pay with credit card to avoid future challenges.
March 9: March 9 is the online deadline for SBLC registration deadline. The registration system will automatically close at 5 p.m. You should receive email invoices direct from our team by March 15.
March 9: Housing will open exactly at 3:30 p.m. on this day. You are encouraged to have your housing form ready to submit! The link for submitting is right below the housing form at www.wafbla.org/sblc - right now, if you follow the link, it will say it is not available yet. At 3:30 p.m., it will automatically start being available.
March 14: Housing forms are due no later than 5 p.m. We anticipate releasing housing assignments by March 20.
Past Due Invoices:
Our finance team is currently reviewing everything in WA FBLA Accounts Receivable. I anticipate that many of you will hear from our finance team as they research invoices – and I know that in some cases, things may have been paid and we may need your help to track them down and be sure they are posted correctly. Thank you in advance for helping our team navigate this process!
State Officer Candidates:
Our team is finalizing the guidelines for campaigning at this time and we will have a campaigning guide out next week. Please be sure to share with your officer candidates that there will continue to be a $50 limit on campaign items purchased and a $200 limit on donated items, for a maximum total spend of $250 for campaigning.
Chapter Payment Policy:
Please see the attached chapter payment policy that was approved by the Board of Directors on Saturday. It is important that you share this with your school bookkeeper, as late fees will begin being applied to outstanding balances after March 31.
State Officer Update:
Hello everyone! I hope everyone is excited for SBLC! We have 7 more weeks until the big day and the officers could not be more excited!
We have extended the community service deadline to March 10th.
We hope everyone who was interested in running for office turned in their applications on time as well!
Stay tuned on social media to see our new weekly hashtags!
