Greetings Advisers and Happy Wednesday!
For any of you who have reached the exciting point in your career that you plan to retire this year, we want to be sure and recognize you at SBLC! If you are retiring at the end of the 2016-17 school year, please complete the form here by February 28 so that we can recognize you at SBLC.
Please take a moment to login to your chapter’s dues account at www.fbla.org to check your payment status. The national deadline for dues payments is March 1 (and that is a receipt deadline). National FBLA has clarified that there will be absolutely no exceptions this year – if dues are unpaid on March 1, students will be ineligible for national competition. We have nearly 500 unpaid members in Washington right now.
The rubric for Who’s Who is attached for your benefit as you have students preparing for this event.
Emergency Medical & Code of Conduct Forms:
Attached are the revised Washington FBLA Emergency Medical and Code of Conduct forms. You do not turn these forms in to WA FBLA – you should have them in your possession during conference in case of any incidents with your students.
The information and rating sheets for Jingle, Pitch It, and Mock Interview are attached. For these events, students do not pre register. We will also be offering five different bubble tests as open events at SBLC – and we will have the specifics on those tests in the next couple of weeks. Again, no pre registration is required.
Adviser of the Year and Businessperson of the Year:
The upload forms for these two events are now live on the SBLC page at www.wafbla.org/sblc.
