Kalama High School
Ashley is the epitome of what FBLA stands for. She reluctantly joined FBLA, a shy, quiet, outdoorsy girl, who has flourished into a full blown, professionally certified force to be reckoned with! She is competent and aggressive in her business leadership, constantly striving for those things that will increase her skills, knowledge and benefit students and the community around her. She is the first to offer a hand to someone who needs help, the first jump into a project and boost the team to completion with her confidence, the first to involve the community. Ashley tirelessly works with those that will let her lead them. She constantly has the future on her mind without leaving behind the present. She is a light wherever she stands, guiding the way to those who will follow after her. She has left a legacy in Kalama FBLA with National wins every year, community service projects and relationships, a strong, confident local chapter and influence on those that she works with in her professional job, yes, at 16, a professional job. She has taken all she has learned in FBLA, certification, professionalism, interview skills, job skills, public speaking, networking and turned that into a job that could sustain her, but WILL boost her to bigger and better things as she graduates college next year with her associates degree and moves on to earn her bachelor's degree in Business and then on to her MBA. Ashley absolutely is the shining FBLA star of the Southwest Region, epitomizing the 9 goals of FBLA, truly and wholeheartedly.
