Ashley Lin is your new Southwest Region Vice President from Union High School, and she’s always looking for something new and challenging to excite her. FBLA has been it, ever since she fell in love with the 2016-2017 Membership Theme, “A Legacy of Leadership.” Taking classes at the local high school as an 8th grader has allowed Ashley to be part of Union’s FBLA chapter. It has been an unforgettable experience, and she can’t wait to continue her journey as a freshman next year!
This past year with FBLA has taught Ashley so much that she wishes she would have gotten involved earlier. Nine months ago, Ashley was a quiet girl content in being in the background, keeping her ideas to herself. FBLA drew her out of her shell, coached her up, and told her nothing was going to get done if she didn’t do something about it. To everyone out there . . . Ashley dares you to challenge yourself and do something! She doesn’t regret getting involved, and she knows you won’t either.
Outside of FBLA, Ashley loves doing community service with her friends. From alleviating hunger as a Nutrition Educator for the Clark County Food Bank to promoting literacy as an editor for the Amazing Kids! Magazine, Ashley believes in coming into something good, and leaving it better. She strives to leave an act of kindness everywhere she goes, and to put the wheels for positive change in action for others to keep turning.
